Christmas 2010

Maggie's first Christmas was a blast! But you wouldn't know it by the very few pictures I took. Aunt Ashley got a VERY cool new camera for Christmas, so here are some of her many pictures.

Maybe if I got one of those cool cameras I would take more pictures :)

7 Months

Maggie is now 7 months old!

Weight: 18 lbs 10 oz
Height: 27"
Diapers: size 4 (big girl!)
Formula: 6 oz every 3-4 hours, 8 oz before bed
Baby Food: twice a day with rice

She is almost crawling! It is more of a scoot right now, but she gets to where she want to go! I have to really watch her now, no more leaving to room for a couple of minutes! She still only has two teeth, but is now cutting her two top canine teeth. They have given her a really hard time, but they're almost in!

If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head, and a place to sleep
you are richer than 75% of the world

If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change
you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness
you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation
you are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering

If you can read this post
you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read at all

sick little girl

We went to the doctor with a cough, and came out with bronchitis and an ear infection...

the cure? breathing treatments, antibiotics, and some cuddling!

6 Months

Maggie is now 6 months old! Where did the time go? She is becoming very busy and is growing and learning so fast! She is now sitting up on her own, and almost crawling (rocking on her knees). We are on a pretty good schedule, she eats dinner and plays for a while, then I put her in her crib around 8 and she goes to sleep. She usually wake up around 2 or 3 and I make her a bottle. Since she holds her own bottle I just give it to her in her crib and go back to bed! Then I usually have to wake her up to get her ready for the day! We now have TWO teeth that we show off all the time. She has just now started really gigging, and I love it!

Her likes:

FOOD (formula or baby food, whichever is infront of her)
her paci
her feet
loud toys...of course
talking and being talked to

Her dislikes:

being on her back
changing her diaper
bathes :(  this makes me sad

diapers: size 3
formula: 6 oz, 5-6 bottles a day
baby food: stage 2 w/ rice twice a day
weight: 18 lb 10.5 oz  (95 percentile!)
height: 26 3/4 inches

Maggie can feed herself a bottle now! Life just got easier...

Fall Pictures

I was so excited to finally see these because I didn't actually get to go with her. I had to work, so Daddy took Maggie. He forgot her bow BUT he got here there, with the outfit I picked out, and on time with no problems, so I'm not going to complain about the bow :)

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween we went to my dad's neighborhood to trick or treat. But before all the excitment we had to take a nap!

Maggie was Cinderella! This was the best picture I could get of her in her costume...she has become impossible to photograph!

Maggie and my little brother, Joseph

Some of Maggie's cousins came trick or treating with us...we had 3 little monkeys!

Ava Reese was a was the cutest costume!

Next year all these little ones will be running around...its going to be interesting keeping up with them all!

5 Months

Maggie is now 5 months old!

Weight: almost 17 lbs
Height: 25 1/2 inches ??
Diapers: size 3, Pampers
Formula: Parent's Choice Gentle, 6 oz every 3 to 4 hours
Food: Stage 2 fruits and vegetables w/ rice twice a day

Maggie has learned to roll around. She can pretty much get to anything she wants if she can roll to it! Now that she can roll over she always sleeps on her stomach.

this is pretty much where she falls asleep every night...she wears herself out playing.

she refuses to look at the camera!

I think were getting close to getting a tooth....and sitting up, but everytime I try to make her sit on her own she kicks her legs and falls backwards. She just doesn't get it yet!

I promise this weekend I will get up to that everything has calmed down (my new job, Maggie starting daycare, and Daddy's new assignment where he's out of town A LOT)...I have started finding more time in my day for the computer!

4 Months

At 4 months Maggie is still the sweet and laid back baby she has always been...and she is growing like a weed! She now weighs 15 lbs 10 oz and is 24 1/2 inches long. That is the 90th percentile in weight and the 75th in height! She eats a jar of stage 1 baby food mixed with rice twice a day and eats about five 6 ounce bottles througout the day. Since Mommy has started work she now goes to daycare everyday...she loves it! But when we get home she is absolutely exhausted and usually doesn't make it past 7pm. Just recently she has started grabbing for things like her paci and some toys...and she is very close to holding her bottle! Right now we are mostly working on her sitting up. Since she HATES being on her tummy I have to sit there and hold her up right to keep her I am VERY ready for her to do that on her own. She is still in size 2 diapers but once we use up this pack we are moving up to size 3.

watching Alabama football!

I have put a paci in Maggie's mouth from day one...but she still seems to like her thumb better! oh well I tried!

Today was Maggie's first day of daycare, and since I don't start work until next week I have a lot of free time this week. I started out today by going to Target ALONE. :) Then I went to the bank and actually went INSIDE instead of just going through the drive thru. My next stop was a little boutique in the Lee Branch shopping center called Plain Jane. An amazing friend got me a gift certificate from there when Maggie was born and I have just now gotten around to going in there. They have the cutest stuff (mostly children's clothing). But my favorite was their Stephen Joseph cloth bookbags. Maggie definitely had to have one.

This is the one I got! This is my most favorite purchase that I've made in a long time.

Sunday I took Maggie to church for the first time. I know it's really sad that she is 3 months old and just now going, but we finally made it! She was SO good. She stayed in the sanctuary with me and just sat in my lap and eventually fell asleep.
