It's a....

GIRL!

and we are so excited! Matching outfits, shared rooms, and all things SISTER are in our future!

We have also decided on a name. From day one I knew we were having a girl, and I knew exactly what I wanted to name her. Well Eric turned down my name as soon as it came out of my mouth, which I think I always knew he would. So we decided that he got to pick the first name, I pick the middle name. To my surprise he picked out a very unique name that took me a while to get use to, but as I started using it I fell in love! It didn't take me too long to figure out a middle name to suit it. While at a Braves game, my mom, step dad, Eric, and I named off every middle name EVER, but none of them were special enough. So I started thinking of family names, and that when I decided to use Eric's Granny's name. I am so excited that

Andie Faye

will be joining our family in November!

Memorial Day Weekend

Our weekend started off with a productive Friday evening. I love how dusk is getting later and later! Eric worked in the yard while I deep cleaned my car for the first time in WAYY too long. Maggie played with her new basketball goal and all of her "vehicles".

I thought this was hilarious. I left to go get dinner and came back to find Maggie had 'parked' her toys in the driveway.

Saturday I woke up ridiculously early so I whipped up a shirt for Maggie's BFF to take on her trip to Disney World!

Then we all got ready and went to a fish fry with Eric's extended family that Maggie and I had never met even though they only live 20 minutes away! I can't believe I didn't get any pictures, but Maggie met a new friend/cousin that I'm hoping she will see more often now!

Sunday we decided to take Maggie out on our boat for the first time, and it was her first time fishing! She wasn't a fan of the boat going fast, but other than that she had a blast!

Her first fish!

Later we went to Eric's sister's house to swim and cook out. Once again I didn't take any pictures!

Monday we headed to the lake to spend the day with some friends.

It was an awesome weekend but by Monday night we were all exhausted!

Ballerina Birthday Party

Maggie has been sooo excited about her birthday this year! She has talked about it literally everyday since her BFF's party in January. I decided since she loves dance and it is the highlight of her week every week that a ballerina themed party at her dance studio would be perfect.

The Menu:
Ham and Cheese sandwiches
Chicken salad sandwiches
Pasta salad
Fruit salad
Peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables
Vegetables and dip
Pink Waffer cookies

I got the idea and the tutorial for the paper pom pom wreath here. but I used pipe cleaners instead of floral wire.
For the party favors me and Maggie made each of her friends a personalized beaded bracelet.

The birthday girl stuffed at least three tutus under her dress to make it extra poofy for the party.

I ordered the invitation from a shop on Etsy. Love them!

Easter Baskets

This week I've been working on some Easter baskets...

They are pretty simple but they are the perfect size for toddlers! I have them in my Etsy shop already but I might try adding some kind of flower or other applique at some point.

WIP Wednesday (Work In Progress)

Right now I'm working on a carrot someone asked me to do for an Easter photography prop. This is very different from anything I've crocheted so far but I think it's looking good!

I used a modified version of this pattern. It didn't call for anything to put inside to keep it firm...so I stuffed in with plastic Walmart bags and it worked just as good as fiberfill!
