Ava Reese and Maggie

We've been spending a lot of time with AR lately. Maggie is kind of the guinea pig to see how Ava Reese will act when her little brother, Westin, gets here next month. So far so good....usually.

On Father's Day we decided to have a little photo shoot of Maggie and AR in their 'I Love Daddy' shirts...this was the result...

We have discovered that Ava Reese stresses Maggie out...the picture above definitely proves that.

1 Month

Today Maggie is 1 month old! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. She changes and gets bigger every single day. The last time she went to the doctor was 2 weeks ago and she was 7 lbs 8 oz...but I'm sure she is atleast 8 lbs now. She can now wear size 1 diapers, but newborn still fits better, and can wear some 0-3 month clothes, which I'm very excited about because they are way cuter than her newborn clothes!

She's not a big fan of the bow...or picture taking, two things she's just going to have to get use to!

So at 1 month she already has just a few likes and dislikes..

She likes

her pacifier

she just has one VERY big dislike..

This was taken just moments before she started screaming. She cries immediately when we put her in it, and then usually falls asleep...but then right when she wakes up she starts crying again. I'm glad this is the only thing she really hates...but its a pretty inconvienant one since we live 20 minutes away from the nearest walmart.

Bed Hog

Usually Maggie wakes up around 5 am to eat, and sometimes after I feed her she decides she wants to stay awake and squirm for a little while. Well at that time of the morning my patience is pretty thin so sometimes I end up putting her in the bed with me. I know thats a big No No but it happens. By the time I'm ready to get up she has usually booted me off the pillow and to the edge of the bed...I don't know how someone so small can take up such a big bed, but she finds a way.

By the way our sheets aren't usually bright blue...these are our extras while I wash the other ones!

Mimi and Papa

This week Maggie and I spent a couple of days in north Georgia with Mimi and Papa.

They haven't seen her since she was born so needless to say, Maggie and I were VERY spoiled while we were there. She was rarely put down and I got a lot of Maggie-free time!

Maggie also went out to eat for the first time...she did great! She was also the talk of the restaurant, everyone thought she was adorable...we think so too ; )

Uncle Joseph

Today I picked up my little brother, Joseph, from football camp. As we were walking through the parking lot pushing Maggie in her stroller a big SUV sped by us going way to fast. Maggie's protective uncle quickly said "Whoa, slow down! We've got a baby here!" You may have just had to be there, but it was hillarious, and very sweet. Joseph LOVES his baby nieces!

This week we've hung out in our crib a little bit. Hopefully it won't be long until she will sleep in it at night. I think Maggie is ready, but Mommy likes her right beside the bed!
