Thumb-Sucker!

I am sad to say that Maggie is a thumb-sucker...it started out only when she was tired, but now she does it throughout the day. She does this thing where she will start sucking her thumb and rub on her ear at the same time. At first I thought her ears where hurting from all the ear infections she was having, but we have been infection free for 2 months, so its just a weird soothing habit i guess! Right now it is still cute, but as she gets older it is going to become a big problem. I have no clue how to get her to stop! She absolutely will not take a paci, when I put one in her mouth she just takes it out and looks at me like I'm crazy.





Silent Sunday

9 Months

At 9 months Maggie is EVERYWHERE. She is crawling very well, following me and Eric around the house. She doesn't sit still until it is time for bed, which she oddly has no problem doing. She has learned to clap and wave (kind of). She babbles constantly, usually saying "mama" or "dada". She loves real food and would much rather eat something than drink a bottle. We are starting to use a sippy cup more and more, she's not a big fan of them.

Height: 28 inches (75th percentile)

Weight: 21 lbs (85th percentile)

Milestones: crawling and pulling up

Clothes: 12 month

8 Months

At 8 months Maggie is...

-crawling (in her own weird way)

-giggling and smiling constantly

-in size 5 diapers!!

- learning more and more everyday

Piggie Party

So I have been trying to decide on a theme for Maggie's first birthday. Everyone I have talked to has said to start planning now! Secretly I've been thinking about it since before she's was born! I have been throwing around the idea of a farm theme...or some kind of farm animal theme. Well I came across my old piggie bank in the back of Maggie's closet that I had in my room as a kid for as long as I can remember. So I decided that it was going to be my inspiration for Maggie's party...so I am officially announcing that Maggie will be having a PIGGIE PARTY! 



Big Girl!

I have finally changed Maggie's room around to where it is more functional for her. She can now play in there with being able to get into anything that she shouldn't, even though she tries! It is so nice to have all of her toys out of the living room and in her room. I can put a baby gate at the door and she will play in there while I get things done around the house...it's been great!

It's a little messy...but thats ok! I can always just close the door :)
